Look Out for One Another

The Father watches over everyone of us. He asks us to look out for one another also. The human heart, unfortunately, is a fickle thing...wanting to do right, wanting to do wrong. Sometimes we are so protective towards others, and yet, other times we can't strike at one another quick enough...our pride is at stake. And so it goes...But the damage done when our heart strikes out against another and is extensive, requiring healing that can only be tended to by the Master Physician. Oftentimes, we cannot see the damage...symptoms of it perhaps, but only if we are paying attention...if we care. If we could actually see the damage, I imagine the majority of us would cringe in utter disgust - kind of how when we see a body that has been maimed, we draw back.

And the word of the LORD came again to Zechariah: “This is what the LORD Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

'The Wise Woman's Stone'

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."

What is in your heart?

Solitude and Gentleness

"It is in deep solitude that I find the gentleness with which I can truly love my brothers. The more solitary I am the more affection I have for them…. Solitude and silence teach me to love my brothers for what they are, not for what they say.”

The Old is Gone!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Crying Face Glacier

I always find it amazing to see the world through other people's eyes and in this case, Mr. Nolan caught a moment of irony in nature. It reminds me of the scripture that says:

"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."~Luke 19:40

Luke 19:39-41 (in Context) Luke 19 (Whole Chapter)

All around us these days, the world and it's people are crying out...crying out for salvation from the chains of oppression. Can you hear it?

What is your response?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.~
John 14:6
